People are always making “Things to See Before You Die” lists. Something about the terminology of that has always bugged me a little. Of course you’re going to see/do it before you die. How could you otherwise? Unless we really can fly around after death, Casper-style and take care of those little details we missed.
I suppose the intent behind these lists is to remind ourselves that life is short, and to take advantage of the time we have. Do the things that are meaningful to you, while you’re here. In the spirit of that, the garden in the video, Pearl Fryar’s topiary fantasy in South Carolina is one I would definitely love to see one day. It’s a work of art and dedication…and fun. It’s topiary as sculpture. Dr Suess would be charmed, I think.
