On Wednesday, November 7, the Wychwood barns at The Stop Community Food Centre will again be host to one of Toronto’s best and most loved food fundraisers. Since 2005, What’s On The Table (WOTT12) has raised over $1.5 million for The Stop’s anti-poverty and anti-hunger programs. These programs help to maintain dignity, build health within the community and level out social inequalities by offering classes in urban agriculture, sustainable food, cooking and operating and maintaining greenhouses and markets.

What’s On The Table always attracts the best chefs and wineries from around Toronto and Ontario. This year you can try bites by Andrew Richmond of La Carnita, Cava’s Chris McDonald, Gwailo’s Nick Liu, Cory Vitiello of The Harbord Room, Dan Donovan of Hooked, the Stop’s own Chris Brown and Scott MacNeil, Graham Bower of Paulette’s Original Donuts & Chicken, and The Tempered Chef’s Bertrand Alépée, among the dozens of top chefs donating their time and talent to this worthwhile cause. Stratus Vineyards and Henry of Pelham are among the incredible Ontario wineries providing a tipple or two.
As in past years, a robust auction will see the hundreds of guests bidding on a wide variety of items like dinner with Top Chef Canada winner Carl Heinrich, a trip to New York City to see a taping of Iron Chef America, and an Edward Burtynsky photograph. If you’re unfamiliar with the name, he’s the guy who did the documentary “Manufactured Landscapes” and he is known for photos like this:
