“In the depths of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.” ~Albert Camus
While nature is busy dressing in neutral tones with occasional splashes of white, I find my eye drawn to intense, pure colours that pop up when you least expect it. If, like me, you can get dispirited by winter’s dreary greys and browns, you long for a shot of colour. These bright lime green chairs in front of a trio of evergreens jumped out at me the other morning and reminded me of all the potential slumbering underneath the snow.
Winter is long, but colour will return, and in the meantime I am always happy to come across any bright colours in the snow, as signposts of the invincible summer to come.
