Eek! A wheat field. Run!

Food trends come and go. One day a certain group tells you eggs are bad for you, the next day another group tells you to get crackin’. If we follow the advice of New York Times best selling Wheat Belly, by William Davis, we will avoid wheat products. And lose weight! Yet for every advocate of the wheat free diet, there are skeptics.

Certainly there are persons who suffer from the genetic autoimmune disorder celiac disease, or gluten intolerance, who must avoid wheat, specifically the gluten found in wheat and many other grains, but there are many others who are having a go at being wheat-and gluten free as well, feeling that if gluten free can improve the lives of those with the disorder, it might be worth giving it a try.
