Finally Some Love For the Caesar!

The Canadian national drink is the caesar and since anyone can remember we have not once questioned the Clamato. Any kind of vodka is fine, the addition of other booze, not a problem. We throw Slim Jims, pickled okra and raw oysters into them and no one bats an eye. But the Clamato is the constant, since the drink was invented the rule seemed to be – you can’t have a caesar without Clamato. But maybe that is because we had no alternative. There was no President’s Choice Tomato Clam Cocktail on the shelves to compete, so we just went with what we were used to. Until now. Continue »
