The kids have gone back to school so maybe it’s time we all did the same. Have you always wanted to learn how to make tourtière – that delicious French Canadian meat pie – now’s your chance to take a class from food writer, French Canadian and former Stratford Chef’s School instructor Deborah Reid.
Or what about wild mushrooms? We sell a gorgeous selection of them in the store but maybe you’re not sure how to cook them at home.

Here’s a class with Dyson Forbes, of Forbes Wild Foods, doing a class on just that. Tomato sauce is a day long process, here’s your chance to let someone else mess up their kitchen and you can just drop in, check it out and buy a jar of the stuff to take home. But you’ll also leave armed with the knowledge of how to make said sauce in your own kitchen. And finally, who doesn’t love dumplings? Mongolian dumplings, well hello!

All these fun classes are taking place this fall at the Drake Commissary. The more you know how to cook the better you get to eat!
