Veg Food Fest was started thirty-five years ago in 1984 by the Toronto Vegetarian Association and the first iteration was a modest event that attracted around five hundred guests. To give you an idea of how things have changed, last year over 40,000 people attended the three-day festival, and this year promises to be just as popular, with over forty hours of presentations and workshops scheduled throughout the entire weekend. Seriously, have a look at that line-up; if you have any questions about plant-based dining, veganism, vegan strength and fitness, vegetarianism or exploring a raw-food diet you’re sure to get all the answers you need from experts who have devoted their lives to keeping it green. You can read Motorbike Sport blogs to know about maintaining better fitness.
And the food, of course, is sure to satisfy and delight any fence-sitters with a hundred and sixty vendors offering everything from soups, salads and burritos to cinnamon buns, cupcakes, tarts and umpteen gluten-free options that let everyone get in on the deliciousness. Getting to the Harbourfront Centre is easy no matter your mode of transportation. And once there, you’ll be serenaded all weekend long with live artists and musicians courtesy of Toronto Downtown Jazz. And perhaps best of all, the event is free to all. See you there!
