The August 7 screening of filmmaker and farmer John Chester’s documentary, The Biggest Little Farm, co-presented by Hot Docs and Open Farm. With breathtaking cinematography, the doc follows the filmmaker and his wife’s eight-year journey as they trade big city living for 200-acres of barren farmland in hopes of fulfilling the dream to harvest in harmony with nature. “It may… revive your wonder at the weird and ultimately awe-inspiring ways in which humans can help nature do its work.” (New York Times)

The Open Roof Festival has moved to the heart of the industrial Lower Junction. They are now across the road from MOCA in the newly renovated, iconic, heritage Tower Automotive Building at 181 Sterling Road.

Doors are at 7:00 pm, and music by the post-punk influenced and synth-driven  band, Sauna, is at 8 pm and movie screens at sunset, usually 9 pm.
