Say It With (Local) Flowers

UPDATE: we can’t guarantee that we’ll have Floralora flowers left, but we have plenty of bouquets in-store today for Mother’s Day

We don’t often think of where our flowers come from – especially in the spring when we’re starved for fresh blooms and any kind of vibrant colour. But here at Fiesta we’re proud to carry Ontario blooms from Floralora Flowers. This stellar cut flower grower from Prince Edward County just delivered their first order of the season last week and it sold out in record time.

All of the flowers at Floralora are sustainably grown on their farm in Cherry Valley. Their uniquely designed arrangements are “inspired by nature and aim to mimic nature’s perfections and imperfections through colour, shape and texture. We strive to build beautiful, naturally flowing arrangements that evolve over time.”

Now in its eighth year, Floralora grows acres of annuals, perennials, shrubs and vines at two farm locations. Their specialty cut flowers are field grown or raised in one of three high tunnels, used for season extension and growing more fragile blooms. They aim to bring customers fresh cut blooms from April to November.

Owner and head flower girl, Sas Long has long dreamt of living surrounded by an ocean of flowers, nature and beauty. In her goal to connect people with the beauty and awe of the natural world, she strives to grow unique varieties of flowers and present them in ways that reflect their perfect imperfections.

And we’re just happy to see Ontario producers in our store.
