Strawberries, Haloumi and Basil via Intuitive Food Design

If you look up “strawberry salad” countless options will pop up – not all of them great. Trisha Yearwood‘s version on the Food Network site calls for crushed ramen noodles and a 3/4 cup of sugar in the vinaigrette. It’s enough to make you weep. But don’t lose hope, because we did the heavy lifting and rounded up the most delectable strawberry salad recipes out there.

Strawberry salad with a poached egg? Oh yes!
via Food52

First up is Bernadette Worndl and her book Fruit: Recipes That Celebrate Nature. Published in 2018 it featured a Strawberry and Quinoa Salad with goat cheese and tarragon, and topped with a soft poached egg. If you haven’t got a copy of the book you can luckily find this delectable recipe at Food52.

At Love & Lemons they share a strawberry take on the classic Caprese. Featuring little bocconcini balls tossed with avocado, strawberries, basil and balsamic. This recipe is a refreshing remix as we wait for tomato season.

It’s a vegan Caprese! via Oh She Glows

Oh She Glows offers a vegan version of the Love & Lemons Caprese salad that features strawberries, sesame seeds and avocado. No idea what it has to do with Capri, but it’s a lovely dish nonetheless. Try the recipe here. Another vegan take comes from the Minimalist Baker and their Strawberry Arugula Salad with candied pecans and hemp seeds.
