The Garden Centre You Love + A Few New Things
It’s our favourite time of year.
April is almost here, and Fiesta Gardens is set to reopen!
Over the coming months, you’ll find everything you need to grow a garden—in your backyard, on your balcony, down your laneway…wherever you plant, we’ve got you.
So, what’s new in 2025? We spoke with Dino and Louise to get the inside scoop.
The best news? While there are a few exciting additions, what you love most about the Garden Centre is right where you left it.
What’s New in 2025?
- New Wildflower Seeds: Northern Wildflowers seeds have been added to our stellar seed lineup. This Sudbury farm has a huge selection of native wildflower seeds that are pollinator-friendly, non-GMO and chemical-free. Dino’s ready to throw them in his garden.
- A New Rose Supplier: A family-run Ontario farm joins our rose roster, bringing roses we haven’t seen in years and some new varieties.
- Here come the blue shirts: Fiesta Gardens is powered by a team of 30+ staff, most of whom you’ll spot in green shirts. This year, keep an eye out for blue shirts—that’s how you’ll recognize our Garden Centre managers: John, Louise, Duncan, Dino, and Michael. Yes, it started as a happy accident—but now, it’s an easy way to find help when needed.
The Zen Corner: A Moment of Pause
Zen Corner is back—a quiet oasis within the Garden Centre where you can sit, breathe, and recharge.
“It’s inspired by how people use the garden centre—not just to shop, but to unwind,” says Louise. “Some come to escape for 20 minutes, to exhale.”
Started by Louise last year, the Zen Corner has flowing curtains, ferns, hanging plants, cozy chairs, and a bubbling fountain.
Whether journaling, daydreaming, or just taking a break, we hope you’ll sit and stay a while.
Community Connections in Bloom
Garden season isn’t just about plants—it’s also about growing relationships.
“There are friendships that bloom with the season,” says Louise. “Customers reconnecting, and spontaneous little visits between neighbours. Watching these joyful exchanges between people is one of the best parts of the job.”
The Garden Centre is also where the staff connect with customers:
“There’s a checklist in my head,” says Louise. “I think of the customers I look forward to seeing—people I haven’t seen all winter, people who come in every spring like clockwork. Kids who have grown bigger over the years. It’s a little reunion each time.”
After a long winter indoors, Fiesta Gardens helps bring the community back to life.
Canadian This Year and Every Year
Supporting Canadian growers? We’re all for it. But as Dino says: “It’s nothing new here.”
Most of our plants are grown in Ontario, Quebec, or British Columbia, and many of our fertilizers, pots, and tools come from Canadian suppliers, too.
“We’ve always been committed to Canadian-grown plants,” says Dino. “It’s not a trend for us—it’s just how we’ve always done things.”
Delivery and Online
Fiesta Gardens delivers! As long as you’re in our delivery zone, you can bike, walk or drive to the store, pick up whatever you need, and we’ll deliver it straight to your door. You can also schedule pickups.
Here’s how it works:
-
Shop in-store for anything
-
At checkout, simply ask to arrange a delivery or pickup
-
The team will help coordinate timing, pricing, and location
You can shop online for soil, mulch, firewood, and seeds. But because plant inventory changes frequently, we don’t sell our plants online. So, you’ll need to come to the store and say hello. After all, as Louise says: “The real magic is in the store.”
Whether you’re picking up a bag of soil or planning your dream garden, we can’t wait to see you.
Stroll through the aisles while listening to classical music, chat with our team, visit the Zen Corner, and reconnect with your community.
The gates open April 1st—see you at the Garden Centre.
