We love wild mushrooms at Fiesta Farms and always try to keep a nice selection of mushrooms on hand in our produce department. So we are very excited to share news about a cooking class coming to Toronto that is all about our favourite fungi!
This Sunday (there’s no time to lose!) Dyson Forbes, of the Forbes Wild Foods family, will be teaching a class at the Drake Commissary that is all about Canadian wild mushrooms.
He’ll demo how to cook and serve fresh chanterelles and lobster mushrooms, as well as how to use the Forbes dried mushroom mixes. As someone who has spent his entire life working with foraged foods, and running Canada’s most far-ranging network of foragers, Dyson is a fountain of information on how to hunt these delicious edibles in the forest, and what to watch out for.
The more you learn about this incredible ingredient, the better home cook you’ll be. When it comes to local ingredients you really can’t get more delicious than the wild mushrooms of our beautiful, vast country.
Only a few tickets are left, go here to book.
