Are you ready for a lasagna miracle? Who isn’t. But seriously, who knew you could create this oven baked classic without an oven?

Chef Ilona Daniel is a writer, radio personality and culinary instructor at the Culinary Institute of Canada in Charlottetown, PEI. She also writes a popular food and recipe column and is a regular judge at the Island’s famous International Shellfish Festival*. She’s busy. She doesn’t have time to put things in the oven all the time. So she invented stovetop lasagna. All the things you love about lasagna, in half the time, and cooked on one burner!

And without further ado, here it is.

*One of the highlights of the Festival (which celebrates 25 years this September) is the Garland Chef’s Competition, where chefs from across Canada compete for a $10k prize. This year, Toronto’s own Samantha Medeiros, Chef at La Palma, will be competing. We know who we’ll be cheering for!
