COVID-19 Update April 17th

Dear Fiesta Universe.

Deep sigh. And even deeper gratitude to our health care workers facing a seemingly never-ending battle. However you find the strength, thanks for showing up.

As we head into yet another round of mixed and dubious Provincial rules and restrictions, we thought it might be a good idea to reach out about a few things.

One person per household.

  • We’d loosened the rules on the number of people in a single shopping group.
  • Now that we’re reducing the number of people in the store at one time to 25% of capacity, we’ll need to return to a one-person per household model to ensure as many people as possible get access to what they need.
  • Of course this does not apply to customers who need assistance.

  • Please re-familiarize yourself with the Ontario guidelines for proper mask use.
  • Most importantly, cover your nose and mouth. Sometimes masks slip. Please don’t be surprised if a manager asks you to readjust yours.
  • If you’re one of those people who don’t think they should have to wear a mask, please do it anyway just to make our customers and team feel better.
  • If you don’t care how other people feel, please feel free to try our delivery service or shop elsewhere until the pandemic is a memory.
  • If you have a health condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, we have systems in place to accommodate you.
  • If you see someone being cavalier and don’t feel comfortable politely mentioning the lapse to them, please do feel free to mention it to a manager or a customer service team member (next to the express lane).

  • Our team thanks you for your patience in this seemingly never-ending/worsening time.
  • Please go as easy on yourselves, each other, and us, as you can find it in you to be.
  • If possible, do this everywhere, but please make a particular effort to remember that someone behaving in a way you find inappropriate inside the store may have a lot going on at home or work and try to reserve judgment.

Garden Centre.

We wish you and yours the least challenging path through this murky time.

See you in the aisles.
