Why You Should Only Use This Cow Emoji

There are two cow emojis to choose from: 🐄 and 🐂. According to one local dairy farm, there’s a reason why you should stick to one and not the other.

A few weeks ago we told you about St Brigid’s Creamery, the makers of the hotly anticipated golden yellow butter of your dreams. We’re happy to announce that, just in time for the holidays, the best butter you’ve ever tasted is now available in store.

Here’s a recap of all the glorious details:

  • Jersey – the only single breed, single herd, single farm butter in the market
  • Grass-fed – as per Ontario Grass Fed standards/programs
  • 84% MF Butter Fat in the European style
  • Certified Organic
  • Soon to be Regenerative Organic Certified through Rodale Institute/ROA
  • Barrel Churned (vs. Continuous Churn)
  • Animal Welfare Approved by A Greener World

According to Guillermo Anderson from St. Brigid’s, there’s a reason to choose the brown cow emoji* over the spotted cow emoji. “The Jersey (brown🐂) doesn’t produce as much milk as the Holstein (spotted 🐄), but they do pack more delicious fat per kg of milk than the Holstein,” he explains. “We’re just trying to make a direct link to the fact that St. Brigid’s butter comes from a brown cow and not the Holstein that everyone thinks about when we think of a dairy cow.”

So now you know which emoji to use when you’re texting all your friends about your love of butter.

*Admittedly, the brown cow emoji is a bull, but don’t let that stop you!
